People have already discovered countless applications for ChatGPT, the AI chatbot that has gone viral for its ability to generate passable text for almost any prompt.

The problem is that ChatGPT is frequently oversubscribed. There are an unknown number of users who prevent you from starting it. You’re left with an over-capacity message and little else to do.

Even though ChatGPT is the most popular AI chatbot right now, there are other options. We’ve gathered a few other chatbots that could fill in if you can’t access ChatGPT.

Google’s Bard

Again, this one may be a little difficult to find. There will almost certainly be a waitlist. Bard is currently only available to select testers, and it appears to be underwhelming in terms of performance thus far. Still, that’s one to keep an eye on once the public has full access.

 YouChat

Sure, it’s not as sleek as ChatGPT, but YouChat has a streamlined version of what ChatGPT does. Here’s a song about chicken wings that I had written in the style of the Beatles, for example. It responded to the prompt in the same way that ChatGPT would.

Microsoft’s AI-powered Bing

This one may be more difficult to use because you must obtain permission to use Microsoft’s AI-powered Bing tool. Fortunately, we have a primer on how you might be able to bypass the waiting list.
Just be warned: if you do eventually gain access, the AI-powered Bing has a habit of providing strange, creepy answers.

Try it out, without signing up.

There’s also a way to test the AI-powered Bing without signing up. According to Mashable’s Cecily Mauran, you can preview the tool on Bing’s homepage. All you have to do is click “learn more” to get a prompt about the new Bing on the way.

Chatsonic

ChatSonic requires a subscription fee (Opens in a new tab), but it is designed to be a chatbot similar to ChatGPT. In fact, the tool is marketed on its website as a better version of ChatGPT. You can get a free trial(Opens in a new tab), but it will cost around $13 per month after that.

Jasper

Jasper is more focused on business applications than, say, ChatGPT, but it is an option. It will be expensive, but it promises to be an AI copywriter that will improve blogs, ad copy, and social copy.
