After his brutal gym attack, 6ix9ine was rushed to safety.

More information is emerging about what happened following Tuesday’s ambush inside a sauna at a South Florida LA Fitness. According to TMZ, the gym’s quick-thinking staff locked the rapper in a room following the incident, possibly preventing a worse beating.

Tekashi had previously gone to the gym without incident. He would usually use the StairMaster for about 20 minutes during his visits. When approached, he was generally friendly and willing to pose for photos with fans.

As previously reported, 6ix9ine was jumped by a group of men at the Lake Worth gym. Tekashi is seen on the floor as a man kicks him and pulls his hair while another film on his phone. 6ix9ine attempts to defend himself against his attackers, but he is clearly outnumbered.

6ix9ine was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries to his jaw, ribs, and back after the gym called 911. The incident is being investigated by police.

6ix9ine was not accompanied by security at the time of the ambush, but his attorney intends to contact the Feds to ensure he is protected. It is unknown whether the attack was related to Tekashi’s cooperation with the government.

His personal bodyguard Bam-Bam has denied rumors that he was the mastermind behind 69’s beating. He even challenged his assailants to a fight, offering $10,000 if they won and $10,000 if they lost.

“4 vs 1 y’all weak ass bitches against me. if you win, I pay you $10,000.. if you lose, you die..” GANGSTAS, CLAIM IT,” he wrote.
