Rihanna stole the show at the Met Gala, but it was A$AP Rocky who had everyone talking.

Prior to attending fashion’s biggest night, the “Praise the Lord” rapper trampled a woman outside New York City’s Carlyle Hotel while attempting to jump a barricade.

Rocky can be seen walking through the crowd in a black hoodie and sunglasses in a now-viral video. He jumped over the barrier with the help of the girl’s body. He knocked her glasses off in the process, leaving her stunned.

He turned to face the crowd after clearing the barricade and pulled down his hoodie to reveal his identity. When they realized who it was, the audience erupted in screams.

Maddy, the young woman, took to Twitter after the incident to share a selfie. “ASAP Rocky literally just jumped over me,” she tweeted.

Rocky himself responded to her tweet, apologizing for mistreating her.

“LOL MY FAULT $WEETHEART,” he said.

While Maddy appeared to be taking it all in stride, she would have preferred to meet another music superstar. “I am literally a Harry Styles fan like trust asap was not the man I wanted to manhandle me,” she explained.

Others encouraged her to take legal action against Rocky, but she dismissed the idea. “Stop asking if I’m going to sue as soon as possible; literally, how would I do that.”

Later that night, Rocky and Rihanna arrived late for the Met Gala, where Rocky wore a red tartan kilt in tribute to Karl Lagerfeld.
