President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo expressed concern about the slow pace of development across the African continent.

He emphasized that Africa, with its abundant natural and human resources, should not be in need and has the potential to emerge as a global powerhouse in the future.

Speaking at the second edition of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues in Peduase, Eastern Region, on Thursday, January 25, 2024, President Akufo-Addo highlighted Africa’s vast resources, including oil, gas, minerals, sunlight, arable land, and a youthful population. He stressed that these assets position Africa to lead globally by 2030.

President Akufo-Addo acknowledged the readiness of Africa’s private sector to support the realization of the United Africa vision, particularly through economic integration. He emphasized the importance of facilitating the free movement of people, goods, and services across the continent.

The President urged collective and individual efforts to contribute to Africa’s growth and emphasized the significance of hosting dialogues aimed at strengthening the continent.
