According to Nollywood filmmaker and Chairman of the Akwa-Cross Chapter of the Directors’ Guild of Nigeria (DGN), Moses Eskor, makeup artist Abigail Frederick was laid to rest at the river bank due to her family’s inability to cover the costs associated with traditional rituals and transportation.
Abigail, aged 24, tragically lost her life in the Anam boat mishap, alongside popular actor Junior Pope and three other crew members.
Eskor disclosed that he managed to raise a total of N310,000, with N200,000 allocated for transporting Abigail’s parents to and from Asaba. However, the family couldn’t afford the additional expenses, including a sacrifice valued at over N150,000 and the ambulance fee to transport Abigail’s body back home.
Following criticism, Eskor has removed his posts on the matter.
