In Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, a crowd of irate protesters has gathered outside the national collation center.
They claim that votes have been stolen and are carrying placards criticizing the Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec).
One person pointed to the Inec collation center and told the BBC that “everything happening there is all lies, all lies, lies… they are cooking up results.”
Three days after Nigerians cast their ballots in an election that was partially marred by violent disruptions and ballot box snatching, tension is rising in the nation.
Inec has been accused of bungling the election, which the electoral body denies, and opposition parties have called for new elections.
In the following half hour, the official results announcement is scheduled to start.
