During the commissioning of the 2nd Ultra-Modern brick Model Police station at Kwahu Asakraka in the Eastern Region on Saturday, March 30, 2024, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia commended Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare for his exemplary leadership in fostering discipline and professionalism within the Ghana Police Service.

Dr. Bawumia praised the IGP and his management team for efficiently utilizing the resources provided by the Akufo-Addo government, noting the commendable innovation of the brick-model Police station, which deviates from the traditional sand-block design. He encouraged all construction developers to follow suit, contributing to the local brick manufacturing economy.

Highlighting government investments in infrastructure and law enforcement, Dr. Bawumia underscored ongoing efforts to enhance police capabilities with armored carriers, patrol vehicles, and motorbikes.

Acknowledging the personal efforts of IGP Dampare in constructing the model police station, Dr. Bawumia recognized the dividends of peace and security achieved under his leadership.

Reflecting on various initiatives spearheaded by the IGP, such as deploying personnel and motorbikes for increased visibility, community engagements, and youth outreach programs, the Vice President applauded the strides made in promoting professionalism and discipline within the Ghana Police Service.

Dr. Bawumia affirmed the dedication of the police force to safeguarding lives, property, and democratic values, emphasizing their crucial role as frontline defenders against threats to law and order, ensuring the peace and stability of the nation.
