Ken Ofori-Atta, the Minister of Finance, is advocating for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to assume leadership in Ghana’s future.

According to Ofori-Atta, the current Vice President is the most qualified individual to build upon the economic progress Ghana has experienced in recent years.

Highlighting positive economic indicators, Ofori-Atta pointed out a substantial reduction in inflation from 54% to 35% in the current year. He also noted a modest currency depreciation of around 6% and a doubling of anticipated economic growth from 1.5% to approximately 3%.

“In the past year, we’ve seen a significant drop in inflation from 54% to 35%. The currency has depreciated only about 6% from February till now. Our expected economic growth, initially projected at 1.5%, has doubled to about 3%. If we maintain our current efforts, I’m confident that we’ll achieve a much stronger economy, and Bawumia is the most capable leader to guide us forward. I honestly can’t envision anyone stepping in for four years and having the capacity to take us where we want to go. I believe 2024 will bring positive changes for Ghanaians,” expressed Mr. Ofori-Atta.

Speaking at an interview in Kyebi on Saturday, December 9, 2023, the Finance Minister conveyed his optimistic outlook for a prosperous 2024 for the people of Ghana.
