The Prince of Wales and Kate Middleton have cure names for each other.

Prince William and Kate Middleton appear to have a normal relationship, which includes giving each other nicknames that only they can use. While Prince William refers to Kate as ‘Duchess of Dolittle,’ she refers to him as ‘Big Willy’ and ‘Baldy’.

They have funny and quirky nicknames, but some mean ones too

This is according to Tom Quinn, a former Palace staff member, and royal biographer, in his book Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family, where he discusses the couple’s relationship.

The Prince of Wales refers to Kate as Duchess of Dolittle, a reference to what Queen Elizabeth II used to call her, acknowledging that she did not have a full-time job before they married in 2011.

The Princess, on the other hand, has comebacks, as she refers to him as baldy due to her lack of hair and the contrast between them both, as she has a full mane of hair

Not all are mean nicknames as the Prince of Wales calls the Duchess “babykins

In an interview with NBC, Prince William recalled what his mother, the late Princess Diana, called him, and he mentioned that she used to call him ‘Wombat,’ and the name stuck with him until his adulthood.

According to Tom Quinn, “someone at the palace told me about the nicknames they have for each other.”

Quinn went on to say, “But it’s not all roses. They have awful rows in which they throw things at each other. Kate, like William, appears to be a very calm person.” He came to the conclusion “However, this is not always the case. Because William and Kate are constantly surrounded by [palace aides], this is a major source of stress for them. It’s like something out of a Jane Austen novel.”
