According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), global cocaine production has reached all-time highs in the last two years.

According to a new UNODC report, cocaine use is increasing in Africa and Asia, as well as in traditional markets such as Europe and the Americas.

According to the report, coca cultivation in South America increased by 35% between 2021 and 2022.

It went on to say that in the last decade, new cocaine trafficking hubs have emerged in West and Central Africa.

The UNODC’s Ghada Waly stated that the possibility of the cocaine market expanding in Africa and Asia was a dangerous reality.
