In time for Thanksgiving, Fetty Wap is dishing out an uplifting song.

The rapper from 1738 made a comeback on Friday with the release of “Sweet Yamz,” his first single as a solo artist since 2021.

He says on the catchy melody, “Can I get to the yams? / Sweet yams / Show me the way.” Can I get to the yams since I have bills to pay?

The song is a reworking of Masego and Devin Morrison’s “Yamz,” which was released in 2021.

From the first time I heard the original song “Yamz” earlier this year, I really connected with it, said Fetty. “It reminds me of Miami, one of my favorite cities. I was immediately aware that I had to flip it and had to do a Zoomix!”

This holiday season, homes are starting to get their hands on Fetty’s version. As followers expressed their admiration, his name began to trend. “Can we talk about what a bop Fetty Wap’s Sweet Yamz is? One user remarked, “What a return,” while another, “nice ass thanksgiving music.”

On Instagram Live, Wiz Khalifa could even be seen smoking while singing along to Fetty’s hit song.

Sadly, Fetty won’t be spending the holidays with his family. After entering a plea of guilty to one count of conspiring to possess and distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, he is still being held in custody. A minimum of five years and a maximum of 40 years are the possible sentences for the charge.
