The weekend’s Kennedy Center Honors celebration in Washington, D.C., featured a red carpet stroll where George Clooney, 61, helped his wife Amal Clooney avoid a potential fashion mishap.

Amal, 44, wore a red Valentino gown and accessorized with a similar cloak and clutch, which at one point got tangled on the carpet while photographers took shots.

Before they posed for pictures, George, wearing a black tuxedo, was seen helping his wife of eight years, with whom he shares 5-year-old twins Ella and Alexander, untangle a lengthy accessory piece.

At the Kennedy Center Honors on Saturday, George received recognition for his lifetime accomplishments.

Amy Grant, Gladys Knight, Tania León, and U2, which consists of Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr., were also honored during the yearly celebration.
According to ABC News, George stated, “Growing up in a little town in Kentucky, I could never have dreamt that someday I’d be the one sitting in the balcony at the Kennedy Center Honors.”

“It is an honor to be acknowledged alongside the rest of these outstanding performers. The entire Clooney family will find this genuinely exciting, “The actor said, noting that his parents Nick and Nina were also present to cheer him on.

The Clooney Foundation for Justice, which is run by the Oscar-winning actor-director, and his human rights lawyer wife attended the first-ever Albie Awards in New York in September.

George said outside of the New York Public Library about what he enjoyed most about collaborating with Amal to plan the event. “We work together on everything, after all. We worked together on twins! “the actor from Ticket to Paradise commented. “But you know, this is an interesting one since Amal has brought journalists out of imprisonment in Myanmar, Azerbaijan, Egypt, and everywhere else in the world,” a reporter said.

Those who dedicated their lives to justice were recognized with the Albie Awards. Among the famous visitors who attended were Meryl Streep, Dua Lipa, John Oliver, Julia Roberts, Bruce Springsteen, and Patti Scialfa.
