Ginuwine, an American R&B singer, fell embarrassingly while performing at the Lovers & Friends festival last weekend. Fans flocked to see the artists in a rare performance on Sunday, and things didn’t go as planned. During a performance of his hit “In those jeans,” the singer took an awkward tumble on stage.

As seen in a TikTok video of the incident, the singer jumps from the main stage to a smaller platform, but upon landing, the late 1990s and early 2000s star loses his balance and disappears down a hole between the stage and the platform.

Realizing he was about to fall, the singer tried to grab one of the stagehands, but he didn’t hold on tightly enough. Social media ruthlessly and hilariously mocked the singer, who, it turns out, saw the funny side as well. “Been defending Ginuwine from the social media jokes, but he needs to give me something to work with here,” one TikTok user commented. “When the knees don’t work like they used to,” the viral video’s hilarious caption read.

“I’m fine everyone, I gotta say that was a drop lol but I popped back up as the rest have, the show must go on but Superman is good thank you y’all [Wine glass emoji],” the singer joked on Instagram following his fall.
