Kamala Harris and Donald Trump took their campaigns to a whole new level on Saturday, each bringing out star power and rallying voters in key battleground states. With early voting already underway, both candidates worked hard to energize their supporters and take jabs at each other.
In Detroit and Atlanta, Harris had pop stars Lizzo and Usher get her crowds hyped, using the moments to portray Trump as tired and out of touch. She doubled down on her message, focusing on middle-class support and uplifting people, declaring that leadership isn’t about who you bring down but who you lift up.
Meanwhile, Trump held a rally in Pennsylvania, showcasing his endurance with a marathon speech. He went on his usual tangents, this time praising Arnold Palmer and taking shots at Harris and migrants. In Pennsylvania, where votes are crucial, he brought steel workers on stage and reminded voters that winning the state is key to the entire election.
Harris kept the heat on Trump, calling him out for avoiding debates and interviews, saying he’s “exhausted” and often loses track during his speeches. At her Atlanta rally, she humorously pointed out his inability to stay on script, adding that what he says is mostly “nonsense.”
Trump’s event was another spectacle, with guest appearances and campaign ad screenings. His focus remained on appealing to working-class voters, despite mentioning his expensive education at the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania.
Former President Barack Obama also chimed in, addressing a Las Vegas rally. He likened Trump’s bizarre speeches to a grandparent showing strange behavior, expressing concern about giving someone like that unchecked power.
Pop star Lizzo in Detroit encouraged voters, saying everyone deserves a president who listens, respects protests, and serves the people. She made a powerful statement, hinting that the country is ready for its first woman president and quoted her famous line, “It’s about damn time!”
In Atlanta, Usher rallied the crowd, expressing confidence in Harris’s campaign and pushing for voters to get her across the finish line in Georgia.
On Trump’s side, Elon Musk, who’s been one of Biden’s loudest critics, played a major role in the campaign. Speaking in Pennsylvania, Musk even pledged $1 million a day until Election Day to voters who signed his petition, emphasizing his support for Trump and putting his fortune behind the campaign.
