Hilary Swank announced the birth of twins on social media on Sunday. Swank posted a photo of herself watching a sunset with both of her children, a girl, and a boy.
“It wasn’t simple. “However, boy (and girl!) was it worth it,” she wrote. “Merry Easter!” “I’m posting from Heaven.”
The 48-year-old announced her pregnancy in October by posting an Instagram video of herself holding her belly. “It’ll be here soon…She wrote in the caption, “DOUBLE FEATURE!”
Swank married social venture entrepreneur Philip Schneider in 2018, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Swank revealed to “Good Morning America” in October that she was expecting twins for the first time. “It’s wonderful to be able to talk about it and share it,” she said.
She won her first Academy Award for “Boys Don’t Cry,” and then another for her role as boxer Maggie Fitzgerald in “Million Dollar Baby.” She took a three-year break from acting to care for her ailing father, but she returned in 2018 for the film “What They Had,” in which she played a woman caring for her Alzheimer’s-affected mother.
She was nominated for best actress in a drama series for her role in the TV show “Alaska Daily.” She and her husband attended the ceremony in January.
She joked on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” after announcing her pregnancy that she needed to cut her jeans open on the set of “Alaska Daily” because her clothes no longer fit.
Swank frequently updated her followers on Instagram about her pregnancy, including an ultrasound photo she dubbed “Million Dollar Baby” because the baby appeared to be flexing a muscle.
