Japanese automakers Honda and Nissan announced on Monday their plans to establish a new holding company and list it on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by August 2026 as part of a merger agreement.

In a joint statement, the companies revealed their intention to list the newly formed holding company on the prime market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The listing is expected to take place in August 2026.

The move marks a significant step as Honda and Nissan enter talks to combine their operations under a unified corporate structure.
