Abdulazeez Olajide Adediran, widely known as Jandor, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2023 Lagos State gubernatorial election, has addressed rumors surrounding the expulsion of Bode George from the party.
In an interview with Arise Television on Tuesday, Jandor clarified that Bode George and his associates effectively removed themselves from the party.
He explained that leaders such as Bode George ceased to maintain their membership in the PDP when they publicly endorsed another candidate during both the presidential and gubernatorial elections.
Jandor stated, “I did not personally expel them as I lack the authority to do so. It’s more accurate to say they expelled themselves by openly supporting another party during the 2023 election campaigns. There’s clear evidence of this on national television, both during the presidential and gubernatorial elections.
“When a supposed leader of a political party goes on national TV and advises against voting for the party’s candidate, it’s evident they have aligned with another party.
“If the party they endorsed had won, they would likely hold positions within that government today. I didn’t expel them, and they never mentioned being expelled; their actions spoke for themselves.
“Our stance is straightforward: by openly declaring allegiance elsewhere, they forfeit their influence within our party.”
