Media personality Serwaa Amihere has broken her silence since an intimate video of her surfaced online, depicting her in bed with a man identified as Henry Fitz.

Amihere shared insights into the circumstances surrounding the release of the video, revealing that it dates back five years.

“On April 2, 2024, someone posted an intimate video of me on the internet. This occurred almost five months after threats and extortion attempts, along with law enforcement efforts to apprehend the perpetrators,” she stated.

The leaked video, created five years ago, has brought significant embarrassment to Amihere, her family, loved ones, as well as the businesses and brands she represents.

Despite law enforcement’s efforts, the video made its way online, causing distress to her family and support network.

Expressing regret over the fallout from the leaked footage, Amihere acknowledged the impact on her personal and professional life.

“At that time, five years ago, I underestimated my influence, potential, and the significance of my role in society. I sincerely apologize for the embarrassment, disappointment, and frustration caused to my family, loved ones, businesses, brands, and to you,” she expressed.

She concluded by stating that she has learned valuable lessons for the future.

Meanwhile, three individuals allegedly involved in circulating the video—Edem Saviour Ketti, Candylove Kwakyewaa Ababio, and Henry Amponsah (Henry Fitz)—are facing legal consequences from the Ghana Police Service.

The trio faces charges related to sexual extortion and the dissemination of private visual content, including conspiracy to commit a crime and sexual extortion under relevant sections of the Criminal Offenses Act 1960 and the Cybersecurity Act 2020.
