According to official results, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has won a landslide victory in the southern Edo state.
Mr Obi received 331,163 votes, while his closest rival, Bola Tinubu of the ruling APC, received 144,471.
Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who has served two terms as the country’s vice president, received 89,585 votes in the state.
