The announcement of results for the southern oil-rich state of Rivers has been postponed due to death threats received by the electoral official in charge.
Those claiming Charles Teddy Adias intended to rig the results, which he denies, threatened him and his family, according to Charles Teddy Adias.
He says he will not compile any more results until the Independent National Electoral Commission addresses the issue (Inec).

According to Nduka Orjinmo of the BBC, Rivers state is a PDP stronghold, but many of its young educated residents support Labour Party candidate Peter Obi.
There are also rumors that its powerful governor, Nyesom Wike, who is leading a rebellion within the PDP after losing the primary to Atiku Abubakar last year, is supporting the ruling APC party.
According to our source, this will have an impact on the national collation center in the capital, Abuja, because a winner cannot be announced until all of the results are compiled at the state level.
