Lewis Capaldi, Lizzo, J Balvin, Mumford & Sons, and many more will perform at Australia’s largest mid-year music festival, Splendour In The Grass.

Flume, Slowthai, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sam Fender, Idles, and others have also been confirmed for this year’s 21st-anniversary edition.

Splendour in the Grass returns to Ngarindjin/North Byron Parklands from July 21-23, with tickets on sale this Friday (April 14).

For Secret Sounds, a division of Live Nation, this year’s event should feel like a return to normalcy after a two-year pandemic that forced Splendour off the calendar and a comeback event in 2022 that was thwarted by Mother Nature.

When the 2021 edition was canceled, organizers shifted gears and used that time slot to launch Splendour XR, a two-day virtual music festival with over 50 artist performances. Splendour XR was created in collaboration with Linden Lab, the American digital entertainment developer best known for creating Second Life. But it wasn’t the genuine article.

The original was founded in 2001 in Byron Bay, Australia’s most eastern point and a haven for surfers, artists, and the country’s counterculture.

Splendour is now Australia’s only midwinter camping festival of its kind, where internationals and homegrown performers have been known to test new cuts live for the first time.

Splendour three-day event tickets are A$447.51 (including booking fees); add A$197.27 for camping. Tickets for a single-day event cost A$202.37.
