Nollywood star Olatayo Amokade, widely known as Ijebu, has stepped into the ongoing tension between Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, and her mother, urging both sides to settle their differences.
In a video shared on Instagram on Sunday night, Ijebu appealed to Imisi to mend things with her mother and bring the family drama to a close.
The disagreement between the two began shortly after Imisi took home the ₦150 million prize. Their private issues became public when her mother released an emotional video, claiming she had been ignored.
Imisi had previously opened up during the show about her tough childhood — growing up in a broken home, dealing with hardship, and carrying emotional wounds into adulthood. After her mother’s video went viral, she questioned why the sudden accusations were coming now, insisting that she had been supporting her long before her win.
Reacting to the situation, Ijebu encouraged Imisi to take the first step. He urged her to visit her mother, apologise, and restore peace.
In his words, he reminded her that honouring one’s parents is important and pleaded with her to put an end to the online back-and-forth once they reconcile. He added that after the peace is restored, he does not want to see any further public drama.
