Meghan Markle faced criticism from a royal commentator who accused her of holding Prince Harry back from supporting causes that don’t bring them financial gain.
The commentator’s remarks followed Prince William’s commendable efforts on homelessness through his Royal Foundation initiative named Homewards. An upcoming ITV documentary titled “Prince William: We Can End Homelessness” will delve into the program’s inaugural year, showcasing William’s nationwide launch of Homewards and highlighting the stories of individuals affected by homelessness.
During a discussion on GB News, presenters Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster, along with royal biographer Angela Levin, contrasted Prince William’s philanthropic endeavors with projects pursued by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for Netflix. Levin criticized Harry and Meghan, alleging they focus solely on ventures that yield financial benefits. She noted a shift in Harry’s previous passion for meaningful projects, suggesting Meghan’s influence has steered them toward endeavors primarily aimed at monetary gain.
Levin remarked, “Harry and Meghan prioritize activities that benefit them financially. They seem more interested in money than people.” Reflecting on her experiences with Harry during her biography research, Levin praised his interactions with ex-military personnel, contrasting Meghan’s perceived discomfort with engaging similarly.
She continued, “William and Catherine, in contrast, prioritize helping others. Their actions are driven by a desire to make a difference, not for personal gain.”
Currently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are involved in producing two upcoming Netflix shows, one focusing on polo and another on cooking, the latter reportedly completed filming.
