The House of Representatives has barred journalists from covering the ongoing investigative hearing concerning ₦15 million corruption allegations tied to popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, along with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS).
The Joint Committees on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Services conveyed this restriction to the press corps, citing that media coverage of the investigation would no longer be allowed.
This decision comes after an earlier invitation had been extended to journalists to cover the proceedings, but now, the investigation into the involvement of EFCC and NCS in the Bobrisky case is off-limits for public reporting.
Further updates are expected as the situation develops.
