Away from the grief, her husband, filmmaker Kazim Adeoti, recently reflected on their marriage. Speaking in an interview with Oyinmomo TV, he recalled being struck by Mercy’s honesty long before they became a couple.
According to him, during a film project in 2011, he expected the usual complaints about payment from actors but was surprised when Mercy instead thanked him and even pointed out that she had been paid more than expected.
Kazim described her as not only beautiful but also a woman of integrity whose straightforwardness left a lasting impression on him.
