Peter Obi, a losing candidate in Nigeria’s presidential election, has renewed his criticism of the poll.

He claimed that people had been cheated at the polls and promised to prove his victory through the courts.

“We won the election, and we will show Nigerians,” Mr. Obi said at a press conference in Abuja.

The Labour Party candidate received 25% of the vote, trailing Atiku Abubakar and the winner, Bola Tinubu, who received 37%.

Mr. Obi’s campaign was especially popular among young Nigerians, many of whom feel let down by the two major political parties.

He has urged his supporters to remain calm and peaceful while the court rules.
