Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, better known as Phyna, has gone offline following the tragic loss of her sister, Ruth Otabor.
Ruth reportedly passed away after being involved in an accident with a Dangote truck, a heartbreaking incident that has left the Otabor family in deep mourning.
Phyna, who is usually very active on social media, has chosen to step back from the spotlight to grieve in private. Messages of sympathy and support have continued to pour in from fans, colleagues, and fellow reality stars.
Meanwhile, relationship and lifestyle coach Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has weighed in on Phyna’s recent clash with activist VeryDarkMan (VDM).
In a video shared on Sunday, Blessing CEO expressed her condolences over Phyna’s loss but criticized how she handled her fallout with VDM. She noted that despite his earlier support, Phyna’s response came across as ungrateful.
According to her, Phyna could have sought out other activists or platforms rather than going against VDM and aligning with his rival, Izzy Ogbeide. She further argued that turning her sister’s health struggles into online content was unnecessary, emphasizing that activists are human too and deserve acknowledgment for their efforts.
Blessing CEO concluded that Phyna’s public criticism of VDM, while still expecting his help, sent a conflicting message and could have been avoided.
