Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk revealed on Friday that Poland is gearing up to bid for the Olympic Games, targeting either 2040 or 2044 as potential host years.

Tusk shared his excitement, stating, “I dedicate this decision to the 10, 12, and 15-year-olds of today. Poland will officially make a bid to host the Olympic Games.” He emphasized the feasibility of aiming for either 2040 or 2044 based on the current stance and commitments of the International Olympic Committee.

This move comes after a similar announcement by Poland’s conservative President Andrzej Duda, who previously expressed intentions to bid for the 2036 Summer Olympics.

Poland has yet to host the Olympic Games but has experience in large-scale events. In 2012, the country co-hosted the European Football Championship with Ukraine and recently hosted the European Games in 2023.

Berlin is also in the running to host the 2040 Olympics, setting the stage for some exciting competition.
