One of Ghanaian President Akufo-daughters Addo has denied getting a $25 million (£22 million) government contract to paint murals throughout the city of Accra.

Such claims, according to Gyankroma Akufo-Addo, are “total fabrications being promoted by some shameless folks.”

She claimed that the three sites that her Creative Arts Agency company painted were planned, overseen, and funded privately.

In a statement, she claimed that “this project was not undertaken to generate a profit, and there have been no lucrative contracts given for it.”

She declared that she will file a lawsuit to hold accountable any individuals or media outlets that misrepresented the project.
