Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State recently had a meeting with Pelumi Nubi, a 28-year-old travel enthusiast and content creator. Pelumi Nubi and her mother were warmly welcomed by the governor, along with some Commissioners and aides at the Government House in Marina on Monday.

Pelumi Nubi’s journey began 68 days ago in London, as she embarked on a solo road trip to Lagos. Upon her arrival at the Nigeria-Benin Republic border, she was officially welcomed by the Lagos State Government’s Commissioner of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, along with the Special Adviser for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Idris Aregbe.

Her remarkable journey started in England, passing through France, Spain, Morocco, West Sahara Desert, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, and Benin before finally reaching Lagos.

At the age of 27 in 2022, Pelumi Nubi had already explored 77 countries, surpassing 80 of the world’s 193 nations. Her adventures aim to challenge the notion of impossibility, showcasing that with determination and perseverance, even the most daunting obstacles can be overcome.
