Snoop Dogg is ready to take over Twitter. On Sunday, the rap legend launched a poll asking if he should be the new CEO of the social media platform.

“Should I run Twitter?” Snoop enquired.

As of Monday morning, nearly 2.5 million people had voted, with a whopping 81 percent supporting the D-O-Double-G as CEO. There are still a few hours left in the poll.

Snoop started the poll after Twitter owner Musk asked Twitter users if he should “step down as CEO of Twitter.” Over 17 million votes were cast, with 57.5% voting yes and 42.5% voting no.

Musk stated that he would follow the results of the poll, which began Sunday evening.

The acquisition of Twitter by Musk has been fraught with complications. Since he became CEO, there have been mass layoffs and the suspension of journalists who cover him. He has also re-platformed suspended accounts that had broken Twitter’s rules.

Meek Mill announced his departure from Twitter amid Musk’s controversial takeover. He closed his account due to “too many bots and weird people” and intends to move to YouTube.

“I’m going to deactivate Twitter forever and join a new society where there are more good vibes based on building, creating, and motivation!” Meek wrote in an Instagram Story. “Whoever runs my shit, turn this off forever… I’m going to take over my YouTube account to replace me in interacting with followers! There are far too many bots and strange people.”
