Sophia Momodu, mother of Davido’s daughter Imade, has cleared the air after claims surfaced that she prevented the little girl from celebrating her father’s birthday.
The rumour began when a Snapchat user accused her of keeping Imade away from the celebration. The message read, “Sophia, why don’t you allow your daughter to celebrate with her dad?”
Sophia didn’t hold back in her reply. She explained that the stories being circulated are untrue and intentionally twisted to make her look like the villain. She added that she has always been a hands-on mother, and people need to stop dragging her child into social media drama.
She stressed that Imade’s privacy will always come first and warned against spreading lies that involve her daughter.
In her words:
“You people have pushed this false narrative for over 10 years. I try to stay calm, but I will always protect my child. Say whatever you want about me, that’s fine. But leave my child out of it. Imade is not a bargaining chip.”
Davido marked his 33rd birthday over the weekend with friends, family, and his other children in attendance—except Imade, which sparked the online chatter Sophia has now addressed.
