President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo recently made some adjustments within his administration. Stephen Amoah, the Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance as Deputy Minister. This change comes into effect immediately. Amoah previously served as Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry. He takes over the position following the passing of John Kumah on March 7, 2024.

Furthermore, there’s a nomination from Nana Addo for Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo, MP for Achiase, to take up the role of Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry. However, this nomination is pending parliamentary approval. The President urges bipartisan support to expedite Marfo’s confirmation, allowing him to contribute to the government’s agenda for its second term.

Tragically, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah, also a Member of Parliament representing Ejisu in the Ashanti Region, has passed away at the age of 45. Kumah had been fighting for his life since November 2023, and his demise is deeply mourned.
