The famous dancing DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, passed away at the age of 40.

The news of his passing was verified by his wife, Allison Holker Boss, in a statement made public on Wednesday by People.com.

She stated, “I have to share that my husband Stephen has left us with the hardest of hearts.”

“Stephen brought light into every space he entered. Above all else, he treasured his family, friends, and community. He believed that the best way to lead was to lead with love and light.

He served as the foundation of our family, was the best husband and father, and served as an example to his followers.

The message didn’t go into any further detail about the circumstances surrounding his passing. Before being elevated to co-executive producer in 2020, the dancer DJ began working for The Ellen Show in 2014. Following the conclusion of the 19th season in 2022, DeGeneres made the announcement that she would end her talk show.

The final edition of the show aired on May 26, 2022. In addition, Boss finished in second place on the 2018 season of So You Think You Can Dance and has acted in movies including Step Up All In and Magic Mike XXL.

The Alabama-born celebrity co-hosted Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings on Freeform and Disney+ from 2018 to 2020 with his wife. Boss’s love of dancing was ingrained in every element of his life, and he longed to be just like legendary dancers Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire.

“In my view, Gene Kelly was the greatest performer of all time. Gene Kelly, since he is a gentleman. I adore Fred Astaire, but he was wonderful because he was so graceful. He was so refined “During a 2014 interview with the Associated Press, he stated. However, Gene Kelly might be like a parent who decides to get up off the couch, dance around, and clean the kitchen.

The death of Boss was first reported by the entertainment news website TMZ.

His wife and three children survive him.
