The Ghana Immigration Service Takes Action: 27 Employees Suspended Amid Allegations.

The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has taken decisive action against 27 of its employees for allegedly engaging in various misconducts, such as organizing fake recruitment initiatives and committing visa fraud.

Among those suspended are three senior officers and 24 junior officers. The suspension has been put in place temporarily to facilitate a thorough investigation into the matter.

The authorities are concerned that the actions of these employees have tarnished the reputation of the immigration service, and they emphasize that any officer found guilty following the investigation will face legal prosecution.

As of now, none of the suspended employees have publicly addressed the accusations.

In the past, the immigration service issued a warning to the public about fraudulent social media accounts falsely claiming to be part of their recruitment process. These accounts were set up to deceive and extort money from unsuspecting individuals seeking employment opportunities within the GIS. The service reaffirmed that such practices were not part of their legitimate recruitment procedures.
