Touré Kunda, a co-founder of one of Senegal’s most famous bands, died in Paris at the age of 73.

In the 1970s, Ismala Touré and his brother founded the group.

They spent a lot of time in France, where they sang in six languages, fusing southern Senegalese melodies with rock, reggae, and jazz.

The band worked with well-known musicians and bands such as Carlos Santana and Talking Heads.

Ismaela Touré was a social activist who advocated for children’s and homeless people’s rights.
