Taye9ja & Toni Tone’s Traditional Wedding: A Fashion Story in Three Acts

Taiwo Ogebule (Taye9ja) and Toni Omotola Adenle (Toni Tone) didn’t just get married — they gave us a full-blown style showcase. Their traditional wedding was nothing short of a runway, with three jaw-dropping outfit changes that kept everyone talking.

We should have known this was coming. Their pre-wedding photos already hinted at something extraordinary, each look more stylish than the last. And when it came to their Yoruba traditional celebration, they raised the bar even higher.

They opened the day in deep royal purples. Toni wore a fitted midi dress, adorned with intricate beadwork in magenta and plum tones, finished with a flawlessly tied gele. Her heels sealed the look with effortless elegance. Taye matched her energy in a flowing agbada embroidered to perfection, paired with a purple fila and a traditional walking stick that gave him a regal finish.

For the second look, the couple switched to earthy greens. Toni turned heads in a mermaid-style gown shimmering with sequins and detailed beadwork, her teal gele flecked with gold catching the light. Taye kept pace in a forest green agbada with striking embroidery, his entire look harmonizing beautifully with hers.

Then came the after-party drama. Toni stepped out in a mosaic-inspired gown, its multicoloured circular patterns creating a stained-glass effect. The halter neckline, side slit, and flowing train made it bold, modern, and unforgettable. Taye surprised with a sharp twist — a mint green tailored suit, worn shirtless, styled with statement accessories for a sleek, contemporary vibe.

Their wedding fashion told a story: tradition, elegance, and bold individuality. And with the church wedding still to come, it feels like this is only the beginning.
