In collaborative operations with the Democratic Republic of the Congo against Islamist terrorists, Uganda has struck ADF hideouts in areas outside the operational area previously agreed upon.

The airstrikes that destroyed a “large terrorist base” on November 4 were authorized, according to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, by the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The insurgents had fled the joint operation’s perimeter, according to Mr. Museveni, who released photographs of the airborne operation, demanding specific offensives against them.

“The ignorant terrorists don’t know that we can reach numerous regions, well beyond the line of the limit of exploitation, with deadly fire in just minutes, not hours,” he stated.

In order to combat the terrorists that Uganda blames for a string of bombs in Kampala over a year ago, Mr. Museveni promised to continue working with DR Congo.
