When Lamar Odom was married to Khloé Kardashian, he claims that drugs were his “girlfriend.”
The former Los Angeles Lakers player opens out about his addictions while married to “Kardashians” star Lamar Odom in the latest teaser for “TMZ Presents: Lamar Odom: Sex, Drugs & Kardashians.”
Odom tells Harvey Levin, the host, “Drugs, that was my girlfriend.” “I had drugs and a wife.”
The 43-year-old former NBA player claims he “had” to inform Kardashian, 38, about the extent of his abuse because he couldn’t “cover that forever.”
He replies, placing his head in his hands, “I mean, behind the scenes, I put her through some s-t.” “The things you think you know are absurd. But the rumors that you guys don’t know are pretty bizarre.
In 2009, Kardashian and Odom got married. After the reality star assisted Odom in recovering from an almost fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel the previous year, the couple finally divorced in 2016. Odom struggled with his substance misuse difficulties and was involved in numerous adultery scandals throughout their marriage.
Earlier this year, Odom stated on “Celebrity Big Brother” that he wanted to meet with Kardashian to make amends.
“I’d probably just want to take her out to dinner. Being in her company will be a blessing in and of itself. In a confessional from an episode in February, he said, “I just want to tell her I’m sorry and what an idiot I was.
She has the right to never, ever want to see me again because of what I had her go through, but people evolve and time goes by.
The Jan. 2 debut of “TMZ Presents Lamar Odom: Sex, Drugs & Kardashians” airs at 9 p.m. on FOX and is streamable the following day on Hulu.
