A Rwandan-born MTV choreographer has received praise on social media after she posted a video clip earlier this week of herself teaching Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, the Ethiopian head of the World Health Organization (WHO), some dance moves.
“I got @DrTedros up and dancing!” Sherrie Silver tweeted a link to her tutorial video.
Dr. Tedros later tweeted his appreciation in Kinyarwanda, adding that “every movement counts for health.”
The WHO chief also encouraged her in her efforts to persuade other African leaders, such as Rwanda’s Paul Kagame, to participate.
“Cyane Murakoze. Thank you for teaching me to dance, @SherrieSilver. I hope my friend, President @PaulKagame, will also give it a shot. Every step counts in terms of health.”
