According to data from the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN) released on Thursday, the film garnered an impressive ₦63.2 million during its opening weekend.

This marks the highest opening weekend earnings for any Nollywood movie released in 2024 thus far! Surpassing even the Hollywood blockbuster “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” which premiered simultaneously but only managed to pull in ₦49.3 million during its opening weekend.

“Beast of Two Worlds” is a captivating collaboration between Anthill Studios and first-time producer, Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao. The film unravels the tale of a king in dire need of a male heir, facing the threat of exile if he fails to produce one.

In a bold move, he takes a new wife, unleashing chaos upon his kingdom. Directed by Adebayo Tijani and Odunlade Adekola, who also stars as the king, the movie boasts a stellar cast including Sola Sobowale, Femi Adebayo, Lateef Adedimeji, Mercy Aigbe, and other esteemed Nollywood actors.

“Beast of Two Worlds” joins the ranks of successful Nigerian epic films such as “Aníkúlápó,” “King of Thieves,” “Òrìṣà,” and “Jagun Jagun,” promising audiences an enthralling cinematic experience.
