Renowned highlife musician Rex Omar is urging Ghanaians to reconsider supporting Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections. Rex Omar expressed his concern, asserting that he believes Dr. Bawumia lacks a genuine commitment to the nation’s welfare.

According to the musician, the Vice President has fallen short in addressing economic challenges during his tenure and lacks viable solutions for the country’s problems. Speaking on Property FM in Cape Coast, Rex Omar remarked, “Someone that has governed this country with Akufo-Addo for over 7 to 8 years, and all the things he said he couldn’t achieve any of them.”

He questioned Dr. Bawumia’s credibility, stating, “Bawumia is now saying that we should vote for him to become the president of this country because he has his own ideas.”

Rex Omar emphasized his belief that supporting such a candidate implies a lack of goodwill for the country, suggesting that it reflects a disregard for oneself and one’s family.
