Popular Lagos socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chiefpriest, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Nigerian singer Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, ahead of his wedding to Chioma. The couple will officially tie the knot in a grand ceremony on June 25 in Lagos.
In an Instagram post, Cubana Chiefpriest praised Davido for honoring his commitment to Chioma despite the ups and downs in their relationship. He wrote, “My Inlaw @davido Oga Adiri Gi Na Mma. Sophia Momodu Accuses Davido of Abandoning Their Daughter Imade
In contrast to the celebratory mood, Sophia Momodu, the mother of Davido’s first child, Imade, has accused the singer of neglect. She claims Davido has abandoned their daughter for the past two years, failing to pay her school fees and other expenses.
Davido recently filed a court case seeking joint custody and unrestricted access to Imade. Filed at the Lagos State High Court on April 17, 2024, Davido’s legal team is requesting joint custody and unrestricted access to his daughter.
In response, Sophia released a statement through her legal representatives, asserting that Davido has not seen Imade since July 2022 by his own choice. She emphasized that she has never prevented him from seeing their daughter. Sophia also alleged that after their relationship ended in 2022, Davido stopped fulfilling his financial obligations, leaving her to cover all expenses for their daughter.
Despite the legal and personal battles, the focus for Davido remains on his upcoming wedding, where he and Chioma will celebrate their love and commitment in front of friends and family.
