Meghan Markle has recently opted to take a break from wearing her exquisite diamond engagement ring, the one Prince Harry used to propose to her in their Kensington Palace garden back in 2017. Instead, she has been seen sporting another significant piece of romantic jewelry, leaving many fans curious about her choice.

This distinctive ring is not just adorned with diamonds; it also holds three additional precious stones, each with a unique significance. There’s a vibrant green emerald, representing Archie’s birthstone, a brilliant blue sapphire symbolizing Harry’s birthstone, and an enchanting olive-green peridot stone, chosen to represent Meghan herself.

It is widely believed that Harry presented Meghan with this eternity ring as a ‘push present’ following the birth of their son Archie in 2019. Meghan first publicly showcased this meaningful ring at Trooping the Color that same year, making it a cherished and sentimental piece in her collection.

When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry first announced their engagement to the world, it was a moment of great excitement. One of the highlights of that announcement was the beautiful engagement ring that Harry designed himself. In a conversation with the press, he shared the heartfelt story behind the ring’s creation.

Harry explained that he chose yellow gold for the ring because it’s Meghan’s favorite. The main stone, he revealed, was sourced from Botswana, a place of significance for the couple. To add an even more personal touch, the little diamonds on either side of the main stone came from his late mother’s jewelry collection. It was a way of ensuring that Princess Diana would be a part of their journey together, even though she couldn’t be there in person.

When Meghan was asked about the ring and its connection to Princess Diana, she spoke warmly about Harry’s thoughtfulness. She acknowledged the importance of including Diana’s memory in their union, especially since she never had the chance to meet Harry’s beloved mother. It’s a beautiful symbol of the love and respect they have for each other and their shared history.

The engagement ring has undergone some changes since its debut. In less than two years, Meghan revealed a transformed version of the ring at the 2019 Trooping the Colour event. At that point, she had it adorned on a slimmer micropave band, complemented by her newly acquired eternity ring.

While it remains a mystery as to why Meghan hasn’t been wearing her engagement ring lately, she has been spotted proudly displaying her eternity ring during her visit to Germany for the 2023 Invictus Games. The couple appeared as deeply in love as ever as they left the games hand in hand.
