A tragic incident unfolded at Suame Magazine in the Ashanti Region late Monday, claiming the life of a 50-year-old carbide welder. Kwabena Afriyie, a resident of Offinso, lost his life when a gas cylinder exploded while he was working on a car.
Eyewitnesses reported that the explosion occurred around 4 pm on Monday, March 25, 2024. According to Mr. Saani Abubarkar, who witnessed the incident, Afriyie was killed instantly by the blast, which resulted in severe mutilation of his body.
The police swiftly intervened, transporting the mutilated remains to the morgue for further procedures.
