The 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) are scheduled to take place from Monday, July 8, to Monday, July 15, 2024.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has expressed gratitude to teachers, school leaders, education directors, parents, and all stakeholders for their dedicated efforts in preparing the candidates for these crucial exams.
Emphasizing the importance of integrity during the examinations, GES, WAEC, and the Security Services are collaborating closely to ensure a smooth conduct nationwide.
Following the BECE, parents, candidates, and the public will receive information about the school selection process, which will commence thereafter. Detailed guidelines regarding this process will be provided in due course.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has also conveyed a heartfelt message to all candidates preparing for the BECE. He expressed confidence in their abilities and urged them to approach the exams with honesty and integrity.
In his message on Sunday, July 8, 2024, President Nana Addo underscored the importance of avoiding any form of exam malpractice. He encouraged the candidates to approach each paper calmly, answer the questions to the best of their knowledge, and trust in the skills they have developed throughout their studies.
