6ix9ine has recovered from his brutal gym attack.

A week after being jumped by a group of men, the rapper resurfaced in Cuba this week. A video circulating on social media shows the “Trollz” rapper out in nature, hiking through the Pinar del Rio hills. He appeared to be in good spirits and uninjured, wearing a hat and an unbuttoned shirt and speaking in Spanish as he climbed a hill.

Tekashi has jumped inside a sauna at a LA Fitness in South Florida just a week ago. Footage shows him on the floor as a man kicks him and pulls his hair while another film on his phone.

6ix9ine was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries to his jaw, ribs, and back after the gym staff called 911. After the attack, the gym’s quick-thinking staff reportedly locked the rapper in a room, saving him from an even worse beating.

6ix9ine was not accompanied by security at the time of the ambush. He has reportedly been going out in public without his hired bodyguards without incident for the last year and does not intend to let the incident change the way he lives.

His attorney, on the other hand, intends to speak with the feds and obtain protection to avoid a future incident. It is unknown whether the attack was related to Tekashi’s cooperation with the government.

A police investigation is currently underway. Bam-Bam, Tekashi’s bodyguard, has denied rumors that he was the one who orchestrated 69’s beating. He even challenged his assailants to a fight, offering $10,000 if they won and $10,000 if they lost.
