In a heart-wrenching moment, well-known Nollywood actor and philanthropist, Williams Uchemba, finds himself grappling with sorrow following the untimely passing of his beloved mother.

Taking to his Instagram page on the afternoon of August 28, the 33-year-old actor shared the tragic news with his followers, fans, and colleagues. In a poignant post, he recounted a deeply touching encounter.

He described how his mother’s presence visited him in his room just moments before her departure. He went on to reveal that during this ethereal encounter, she appeared happy and content in an environment different from our earthly realm, possibly alluding to a heavenly place. Uchemba shared poignant snapshots of his cherished mother and penned a heartfelt message:

“Rest well Mum ❤️🕊️

A short while before your passing, you entered my room. Your physical presence was there, yet the atmosphere felt like another realm, a realm unlike anything I had ever experienced. You smiled at me. You were accompanied by others whom I didn’t recognize, but they danced joyfully, their elation akin to winning a grand prize. I instantly recognized you, although there was something different; you looked younger (resembling when you were 27 years old), with your hair gently resting on your shoulders, neatly brushed. I pleaded for you to return, reminding you of our prayers for your recovery.

You responded in Igbo: “Alaikiri’m ebe’m nò, ebe’m no mara nma,” signifying “I like where I am; where I am is beautiful.” Almost immediately, a notification appeared on my phone, confirming the hospital’s report of your passing. At that very moment, Matthew 5:4 resonated in my heart, which states: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” A profound sense of solace enveloped me, an unmistakable assurance.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 emerged in my thoughts as well: “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.” Your transition has invigorated my Christian faith, reinforcing the reality of life beyond our earthly existence. Your transition has indelibly impressed upon my heart the existence of heaven and hell, and I am gratified that you have arrived where we all aspire to be. You have completed your earthly journey, valiantly fought the battle of faith, and ascended to the eternal glory of Jesus Christ.

This isn’t a farewell; it’s a temporary parting. Rest now, Mama, until our paths cross again. You can affectionately call me “Don Willy’m” from up there. 🙂 I love you.”

In this moment of profound loss, Williams Uchemba’s words beautifully capture the poignant sentiments that follow the passing of a loved one.
