The couple’s love story began in the 90s when Olu Jacobs directed the premiere of Wole Soyinka’s Jero’s Metamorphosis for Nigeria’s 21st anniversary. Silva recalls that Jacobs told her he would marry her the first time they met, though she didn’t believe him at first.
True to his word, he proposed at a restaurant after a special dinner, and they married in 1989. They have since welcomed three children: Olusoji, Dayo, and Olugbenga.
This celebration marks not just another year but a testament to their enduring love and Jacobs’ lasting impact on Nollywood.
