A 28-year-old Nigeria-British citizen and travel content creator recently completed a remarkable solo drive from London to Lagos in 68 days.

Dr. Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace, honored Pelumi Nubi for her achievement by offering her a complimentary London Business Class return ticket. During a meeting in Lagos on Monday, Onyema praised Nubi for bringing pride to Nigeria with her extraordinary journey.

Nubi embarked on her adventure on January 31, reaching Nigeria through the Seme border on April 7.

“Your accomplishment is a source of pride, especially during challenging economic times. You’ve truly made Nigeria proud,” Onyema remarked, acknowledging Nubi’s remarkable feat.

In recognition of her achievement, Air Peace presented Nubi with a free Business Class return ticket to London.

In response, Nubi expressed her gratitude to Air Peace for the generous gesture and commended the airline for its newly launched London service. As the first woman to undertake such a journey from the UK to Nigeria, Nubi has garnered widespread acclaim for her remarkable achievement.

Shortly after her return to Nigeria, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu honored Nubi by presenting her with a car and appointing her as a state tourism ambassador.
